What's Up Wednesday

    Hey guys!!
So this is kind of a first blog post since I decided to completely re-vamp my blog!  I have a new blog, a new url, and even a knew design!  I'm very excited for all things new!  Yet with most new things, I really didn't know how to begin?  Do you start with a long post about why you decided to start over?  Do you explain 'where you've been' and why you've been away for so long?  Do you give an account of what you're hoping to accomplish with the blog or where you want it to go this time around?  I have really been tossing that idea around in my head for sometime, and then today I just clicked on my reading list.  One of my favorite blogs, The Other Side of the Road had a post called "What's up Wednesday"  So I knew that was the perfect way to start. :)  So here we go, no explanation, lets just jump in head first!  I'm so ready to begin again and become a member of the blogging community again!  So here goes!

WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK
Monday we just returned from our trip to the mountains and my daughters prom weekend.  Hubby and I were alone last week, and lets be honest, if it's just two people sometimes its just as inexpensive to eat out, So we spent a lot of time eating out, and it was a nice change!  However, we are ready for cooking at home, which is what we usually do!  So this week we have already had chicken pie, tonight is Tacos, tomorrow chicken and gravy, we have a wedding on Saturday so we will have dinner there, and on Sunday we are cooking hotdogs!  We've also fallen in love with edamame, so we will have that and some fresh green beans as a side with lots of those dishes!

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

My daughter went to prom this weekend with my niece.  They have always been more like cousins than friends.  It's so hard to believe how fast these girls have grown up, and how beautiful they are!  I'm so glad they are best friends, and so thankful they have eachother!

7 years doesn't seem that long ago...

WHAT I'M LOVING

We have had some family time since visiting the mountains!  Since we are about four hours away from them, time together is always a blessing!

We had prom dinner with my sweet Daddy, and its always a blessing to see my Lacey!

It's always fun at my sisters house with all of her kiddos!  Talk about a big cousin crew!

We are also loving Upward Soccer!  Our church is hosting this year and Sawyer is loving it!

And THESE!  These cute berry bowls came from Dollar General!  Aren't they adorable???

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Prom!  As you can see!  Upward, as I also shared, and I didn't mention since I haven't been blogging that my oldest daughter got engaged last month!  So we have been doing tons of wedding planning!

WHAT I'M DREADING
The first week in May is crazy...  I have two doctors appointments, one being an ent appointment since my hearing in my right ear has significantly decreased over the last two years and I'm anxious to see what's going on.  My kids also have dental appointments that week as well, so it will be rush rush!  However the second week in May my sweet boy turns 15, so that will be really special.  So if I can make it through week one I'll be golden lol!

WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I have SO many ideas about this new blog!  Now I just have to take some time to plan it!

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

My hubby has a two week break from school, and although this week has been busy especially with catching up on ministry events, we hope next week we might slip away to the coast for a day.  I could really use a day on the beach!

WHAT I'M WATCHING

Stephen and I just finished re-watching the Poldark series!  I LOVE Poldark!  The fourth season is where the show diverged from the book and started something different, so I ordered The Stranger from the Sea so I could finish the series up!  I'm also rewatching Hart of Dixie while walking on the treadmill in the mornings.  Also, When Calls the Heart!!!!  I'M LOVING the Nathan/Elizabeth storyline, I was always, ALWAYS team Nathan!

WHAT I'M READING
When we Were Young by Karen Kingsbury, its so good so far!

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

I have two teenagers.  I never get to pick the music.  Lately they've been obsessed with Circle in the Sand by Belinda Carlisle lol, so that's all I ever hear hahaha!

WHAT I'M WEARING

Some American eagle green shorts and an old tshirt!  I have to get ready for church soon lol!

WHAT WE'RE DOING THIS WEEKEND

We have a wedding with some friend and church members on Friday evening.  Saturday I just planned a lunch date with my sweet hubby, I'm excited for that!

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Hudson's birthday!  Visiting Family, meeting my daughters future in laws and hopefully doing her engagement photos!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW

I think I've about covered it!  Besides my blog!  I hope some of you will follow and comment your blog so I can follow you as well!  I would LOVE to make some new blog friends!

WHAT AMAZON PURCHASE I'M LOVING

I've been working on trying to find more non-toxic products, including cleaning products, and I'm LOVING this Puracy multi-purpose cleaner! It works GREAT, smells amazing, and best of all, is non-toxic and affordable!

I desperately needed some kahkki cropped pants to wear to church this spring, so I ordered these on a whim since its easy to return to Amazon.  They were also around $22 which is very affordable.  I LOVED them so much I bought a second pair in Navy Blue!

As I mentioned, we are in the transition of finding some clean products to our home, which
is included in any of our scent products.  I left Scentsy late last year, which I fully intend to write a blog post about soon (follow me so you can find that soon!) So I've been looking for an alternative for awhile....

These cute little wax bears come in a three pack of coastal scents, Coastal Tide, Pineapple Mango and Pina Colada!    Not only are they a beautiful scent for my warmers, they also are affordable ($19 for a three pack!) and they smell amazing!  I'm excited to have found these little bears!  As an added bonus they are made here in North Carolina. :)  Even better, all the best things come from NC!

Thanks so much for sharing this week, and I cant' wait to meet some new blog friends to follow!
