Hello Monday :)

I just found this linky party by visiting with a fun blog I've just started following, Slices of Life :)  I saw this linky and thought it sounded so much fun to share our weekends together!  So I'm going to give it a try.  Hello!  \

We didn't do a lot this weekend!  Our vacation was last week, and we had a blast!  We stayed Sunday and Monday in Columbia, attended the kids piano recital, then we traveled to the Outer Banks on Tuesday for the rest of the week!  We were supposed to stay Friday in Columbia, but it was raining and gross, so we decided to come home on Friday.

I just think the sound is one of the most beautiful places in the world.  It's so peaceful and calm!  The kids enjoyed swimming and fishing, and it was just what we needed to relax a little!

Me and Hubby snuck in a rare photo of the two of us at the playground!
LOL we lived in Columbia for two years, Stephen's first church was in that little town!  So the kids
enjoyed revisiting the playground they grew up playing on.  And we enjoyed some time to have a picnic lunch.  It was a really good time!

I'll not share too many beach photos, since I did a whole post on our vacation...

We spent Saturday just doing laundry!  Our church volunteered at the Tractor Pull in Pinetops.  I didn't go, but my daughter did and got a few photos.  She enjoyed it!  I felt bad for not taking the boys, but I told them now that we know what it is more we will go for sure next year.  I still don't think they are happy with me lol!

I got this sweet picture of Peter, our "baby" kitty.  He was asleep like this lol.  I don't know how that is comfortable, but he apparently was pretty comfy!

Sunday morning my husband was technically still on vacation, so we had a guest preacher.
He was one of our state Mission Catalysts.  He was a missionary in Africa for years, and then spent
a few years in China.  He spoke about how God uses us in ways that we can never imagine.  He told a story of him and his wife going to the store and not being able to read any of the labels, so they were trying hard to buy something to eat lol.  He said a sweet little Chinese lady came up to them and said she spoke a little English and she helped them.  She proceeded to tell them she was a Christian, and she wanted to be baptized and that no one else in her family was saved, so he said over their time ministering in China he was able to lead her entire family to Christ!  He spoke about how we never know what situations God is going to use us in.  It was wonderful!
He and his wife were wonderful!  Stephen was back in the pulpit Sunday night and back in his element!
We enjoyed hanging out with the kids and watching Cheaper by the Dozen 2 to wind down!

During our time at the beach we were trying to help my youngest son sleep, so we got him a weighted blanket.  I don't know how we've lived this long without them, but we got one for ourselves also and its wonderful!
All in all, we had a great weekend, and I'm excited to see this linky party and to share with all of you!  I hope you have the best week!
