A Perfect Christmas!

I don't have any all dolled up photos of my kids.  I don't even have one photo of all four of them in front of the Christmas tree!  I guess some would call that a 'fail', but I have another word.  For me,  it was the perfect Christmas!

Our church had a very busy but extremely fun Christmas season!

We gave out hot cocoa and our choir sang at our little town's tree lighting ceremony!

And we won second place in our local parade!

We went Christmas caroling, and out to dinner afterward!

And our choir did an awesome cantata, including Callie and Hudson who joined the choir in November!

Sawyer was a part of the Christmas play, and he did a wonderful job!

And they had a great kids party afterward!

It started out busy with our traveling to the mountains.  We are a little further than we were in Asheboro so it takes a little longer.  But we were so very excited to see family since we missed spending Thanksgiving with them due to sickness.  Our son told us a few months ago that he had never been to the Olive Garden, and he really wanted to go.  As you know, our summer was a little bit on the crazy side, and honestly we just didn't have a lot of time on our hands.  So I thought I would make his first trip to the Olive Garden special and go on our way to the mountains!

Once in the  mountains, my kids joined my sisters kids at their church for their Christmas play.
My niece was the narrator, she did amazing!

And my youngest nephew was the cutest chicken I've ever seen in my life lol!

We had an awesome time visiting my Dad, and then we enjoyed dinner with my Mom's family!

My sister is due in February with a little girl!  We have such a big family haha!

We came home on the 23rd to spend Christmas at home!  The kids enjoyed their new ping pong table

And their football goal, even though it was SO cold, they were only out for a few minutes!

We spent all day Christmas Eve baking and enjoying ourselves!

I don't think I took a single photo on Christmas day lol!
We spent the day just being lazy!  We woke up at 6 to open gifts.  Now that my kids are older its a much slower process.  They opened gifts one at a time so everyone could see everyones reaction to what they got!  We didn't have as many gifts this year- my years of minimalizing made me want to stick to the basics.  But we enjoyed so much spending the time and giving one another special things!  It was absolutely a blessing!
After church we napped lol.  We had a ham for dinner and watched movies together.  It was a beautiful, perfect day!
The day after Christmas, my wonderful hubby turned 39!  He and I went out for lunch, then our girls made him a cake and we had dinner and sang to him.  I'm sure blessed to have been with this man for 18 of his birthdays!

All in all, we had a wonderful Christmas!  We are excited to go into this New Year and see what it will bring!
