A Trip to Fort Caswell

My oldest daughter has worked at Fort Caswell for three years now. It is certainly what she considers her "happy place". She had first traveled there with the youth group from the church my husband was the youth pastor at the time. He wasn't able to go, but she wad excited to go even though she didn't know anyone from the youth group very well! She fell in love with the place and it has always had a special place in her heart.

We took our youth group last year and my kids loved it. So this year, we decided we would go back with them again!

We took a great group of kids! Three of them were there for the first time!

We were so happy to be reunited with Lacey! She's worked so hard this summer, it was nice to spend some time with her!

The kids enjoyed fishing

And its always humbling to pack meals for Haiti.  It's unbelievable how blessed we all are.

Fort Worship was still our favorite event... there's just something incredible about that
many people worshipping God in the quiet, calm of the beach. It was beautiful!

And  my little guy catching a fish was the cutest thing of all time!

My boys were super brave during track times, joining the big boys to play football!

One amazing church member wanted to treat the youth to her favorite restaurant!
So we took them to the Provision Company in Southport!

It was absolutely delicious...  they had the best crabcakes I had ever eaten in my life....

The last day of hatch was fun, they gave the all "Worth it" flashlights, to remind them to shine their lights through the world!

My girl got some photos with her friends and the BeDoTell ministry staff...

All in all, it was an amazing week!
